This laundry was well, functional, and a bit drab in the decorating department. White wall, white appliances, dull garbage can.

This also meant tons of homework, art and projects that didn’t fit on the fridge.

Enter push pins, artwork, and the laundry room. My new art gallery featuring the work of Boy and Girrl.

As they grew, the art changed, evolved, matured and diminished.

Now I get my fix of artwork from Boy in the interwebs and see Girrl’s work live at her concerts.

The laundry room art gallery is looking a bit tired. Some artwork didn’t survive the daily/weekly walk past or the antics of kittens jumping to pull off a cut out cat tail blowing from the vent.

It’s time to salvage the work, take it down, and secure it away to share with their kids whenever that might be.

But this leaves me once again with a rather dull laundry room. Somehow I don’t think I can talk Retro Man into putting a high definition TV in there.

I’m certain there was implied penalty. Maybe?

I think I need a brain upgrade. One that comes with a USB port to make things easier? Like getting the writing that goes on in my head onto the document before me. Think of the time I’d save not staring at a blank document, surfing to somewhere else looking for craft/hobby ideas, or playing a mad game of WOW.

Wouldn’t that be a neat feature to have? Plug in, download and viola, just clean it up?

I can hear Retro Man shaking his head from the other room over that idea. What?

Lucy asked a question on her blog the other day about unusual things that pets do. I couldn’t think of a single thing my assorted wild bunch of furred fiends do. Had to ask. Hand meet forehead. Rinse. Repeat?

“Two-toes. Nose. Treat. Snap. Ring a bell?” he inquired. Omg. I can’t believe I forgot that unique feature of count your fingers and hope you have what you started with. Girl taught him this one and now Two-toes thinks it’s fairly neat. Treat on nose. Remove finger and before you have your hand back to you, the treat is gone. In the mouth and chewed.

I really need to get video of him doing that.

What’s going on in your slice of the world?
